Adam "Pacman" Jones will meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday to discuss the Tennessee Titans cornerback's run-ins with the law.

A person within the league familiar with Jones' situation told The Associated Press on Tuesday that a hearing will occur then. That person requested anonymity because the hearing has not been announced.

Goodell is unlikely to make any decision on a suspension or fine at that time, because the commissioner's new, stricter player conduct policy has not been completed.

The hearing was first reported by the NFL Network.

On Monday, Las Vegas police recommended prosecutors file a felony charge of coercion and misdemeanor charges of battery and threat against Jones, stemming from a Feb. 19 fight and shooting at Minxx strip club the morning after the NBA All-Star Game at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Jones has talked to police in 10 separate incidents since being drafted in April 2005 and has been arrested five times.

While Jones awaits possible charges in the Las Vegas case, a Tennessee prosecutor said he will revive a criminal case against Jones if the Titans cornerback is charged in Nevada.

In January, Jones struck a deal with Rutherford County prosecutors on misdemeanor charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was given a chance to avoid jail and have the counts expunged from his record if he stayed out of trouble until July 5.

• GIANTS -- New York signed free-agent linebacker Kawika Mitchell to a one-year, $1 million contract.

The signing was the first free-agent move for new general manager Jerry Reese, and it fills a linebacker need with the recent decisions to release LaVar Arrington and Carlos Emmons.

Hours after Mitchell signed, the Giants also re-signed veteran offensive lineman and Bishop Gorman High School graduate Grey Ruegamer, who played in all 17 games last season, starting in the regular-season finale against Washington.

Mitchell spent the last four seasons with Kansas City, recording 118 tackles in 2006 at middle linebacker. He will move to outside linebacker for the Giants.

• BRONCOS -- Denver wide receiver Brandon Marshall appeared in court in Highlands Ranch, Colo., after being arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and domestic violence, a Douglas County sheriff's official said.

Marshall, 23, appeared before a judge and was released on personal recognizance, sheriff's spokeswoman Cocha Heyden said.

Marshall was arrested Monday night in the Denver suburb of Highlands Ranch after a woman told authorities she and Marshall, whom she identified as her boyfriend, had argued earlier in the day, Heyden said.

• BENGALS -- Receiver Chris Henry, already facing possible NFL punishment for problems with the law, has been cited by Cincinnati police on three traffic charges, including driving with a suspended license.

Henry also was ticketed for an alleged improper turn and seat belt violation. His vehicle was impounded after he was stopped March 21, and he paid $100 to retrieve it Monday, court records show. Court action is pending.

Henry, suspended for two games by the NFL last season, could face more punishment after settling the last of his earlier four court cases by serving two days in Kenton County (Ky.) jail in January. That was for letting minors drink in a hotel room he had rented.

• THEISMANN -- Joe Theismann, dropped Monday as an analyst on "Monday Night Football," says he has been offered a job doing college football for the ESPN/ABC networks.

Theismann is being replaced on "Monday Night Football" by Ron Jaworski, a former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback.
