Forget about merely winning the Pacific Division. The Wranglers have their sights set on earning the top seed in the ECHL Kelly Cup playoffs.
Shawn Limpright scored in the final round of a shootout to lift Las Vegas to a 4-3 victory over Bakersfield on Tuesday night at the Orleans Arena.

It was the seventh straight win for the Wranglers (40-12-14, 94 points), who padded their Pacific lead over the Condors (40-15-11, 91).
More important, the win gives Las Vegas a chance to tie defending ECHL champion Alaska for the league lead if it can pull off victories in regulation over the Aces on Friday and Saturday at the Orleans.
The Wranglers trail Alaska (46-15-6, 98) by four points with six games to go, and Las Vegas has a game in hand.
"We're not fighting just to stay ahead of Bakersfield. We want to win the whole thing," said goalie Mike McKenna, who made 29 saves in regulation and overtime, then stopped the Condors' first four shootout contestants. "This is a big win for us and we've got to carry it into the weekend.
"We're four behind Alaska with them coming into our barn. There couldn't be a better scenario. We'd love to catch them. We want to make sure we have home-ice (advantage) all through the playoffs."
Arpad Mihaly scored for Las Vegas in the first round of the shootout, but Bakersfield's Sean Venedam tied it in the fifth round, barely lifting the puck under the crossbar.
Limpright answered immediately, deking Condors goalie Rejean Beauchemin to the right before pulling the puck back and putting it into the back of the net.
"It's something I've practiced since I played juniors actually," Limpright said. "I haven't done it this year, so I thought I'd give it a try and it worked out.
"I kind of fake like I'm going to the other side and make a quick cutback to the other side. Usually if he bites on the first move, it leaves an empty net, and that's what happened."
The Wranglers never trailed, taking leads of 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2, but the Condors tied it each time.
Aaron Power, Steve Crampton and Marco Peluso scored for Las Vegas and Derek Edwardson had two assists. McKenna also assisted on a power-play goal and improved his record to 22-4-7.
The Wranglers finished 1-for-9 on power plays and the Condors went 0-for-5.
The teams played a scoreless third period and overtime after Bakersfield's Kevin Truelson scored his second goal of the game to make it 3-3 with 3:33 left in the second period.
"I thought we were a little bit sloppy," Wranglers coach Glen Gulutzan said. "I don't think either team played a great game, but I'm glad we got two points out of it.
"That was a big goal by Limpright at the end and four good saves by McKenna. It makes it a little nicer to have a three-point lead right now, which is big."
