Post Time 1 p.m.

Race 1 - 2 furlongs, Purse $36,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds

Destiny Dreamer - Ward seemingly wins every 2-YO baby race that's run; bullet works and should be able to overcome a parking lot post.

Alonewiththestorm - Ran pretty well in debut and now gets a positive rider switch; if she improves a step, she can provide some value.

Long Shot - Chatty Gal

Race 2 - 7 furlongs, Purse $50,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

Kin to a Kitty - Chance to be lone speed, despite a tough task in this elongated sprint; will need to be at her best in a tough spot.

Honky Tonk Baby - If she repeats her last race, she'll win; key is the race has such a big speed figure, she's a likely bounce candidate.

Long Shot - Chosen Royalty

Race 3 - 6 furlongs, Purse $33,000, Maiden claiming $62,500, 3-year-olds

Pay the Vig - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to claiming; Baffert cull ran a winning race for this level two races ago.

Icanmakeitrain - Speedball will try to steal the verdict from pillar to post; like what Miller has shown from a relatively small barn.

Long Shot - Headed for Home

Race 4 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $45,000, Claiming $50,000, 4-year-olds and up

Dover Dere - Seems to be rounding into good form after a year off; Polanco barn has been cold, but he's OK, and it'll help the price.

Jake Skate - Logical contender ran a nice race from a parking lot post returning from a 2-year status; he has back class and should improve.

Long Shot - Steal Your Thunder

Race 5 - 1 1/8th miles, Purse $16,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds and up

Runs in the Family - Always respect what Sherman sends out; the huge class drop would be a red flag for most, but Sherman drops to win.

Plan for Fun - Has run two decent efforts and may grind fast enough to get a piece; a vote by me because many others appear too slow.

Long Shot - Handsome Lover

Race 6 - 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds

Parinaz - Dead late closer is getting closer and closer to victory; facing a very slow group today, this is a prime opportunity.

Memories of Sue - Was well bet in debut and faltered after showing good early speed; Espinoza stays loyal and improvement is expected.

Long Shot - Nobodywantsmud

Race 7 - 1 1/8th miles (turf, rail at 30 feet), Purse $55,000, Allowance, Fillies, 3-year-olds

Seven Steps - Could not overcome an awful start and a parking lot post; did well to lose by only 3-lengths, now gets big-time class relief.

Miss Josiey Wales - Mullins is dangerous anyplace, anytime; tactical speed to sit a decent trip, having Potts will help her price.

Long Shot - Silent Fusaichi

Race 8 - 6 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Claiming $10,000, Cal-breds, 4-year-olds and up

Smoke'n Bloke - Only one graduating from the maiden ranks for this; he overcame post 13 and drew away nicely, may have figured things out.

Mysterious Cat - Gutsy win last time, but he's not big on putting victories together back to back; will need a hot pace to do his best.

Long Shot - Epic Commander

Best Bet - Runs in the Family (race 5)

Santa Anita Sunday - Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 17/5/$22.80; Long Shots, 8/1/$6.60; Best Bet, 1/1/$2.80

Santa Anita Totals - 1,081/285/$1,928.60; Long Shots, 542/66/$887.80; Best Bets, 62/25/$106.00
