University slates class on seminar delivery

University of Nevada, Las Vegas Education Outreach will hold a seminar on giving seminars and workshops for profit from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The class will meet in Room C120 of the Carol Harter Classroom Building Complex on the university's main campus, 4505 Maryland Parkway.

Class fee is $49.

Mattress Firm, a Houston company, said it closed its acquisition of Las Vegas-based Bedtime Mattress Co. for an undisclosed price.

Bedtime Mattress Co. has 15 stores in the Las Vegas Valley operating under two retail brands, Bedtime and Mattress Direct.

The acquisition brings Mattress Firm's nationwide shop count to more than 370 stores in 33 markets.

The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce named Veronica Meter vice president of government affairs.

Signature Homes named Ralph Tolomei chief financial officer.

Clark County Credit Union named Steven Weiss members auto broker at its Flamingo Road branch.

Silverton Casino named Joseph Mulligan executive chef.
