WORKSHOP

The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services will offer a free workshop at 6 p.m. Wednesday designed to educate parents about children using the Internet and what precautions adults can take, at Brinley Community School, 6150 Smoke Ranch Road (229-2642).

FASHION SHOW

The Catholic Daughters of the Americus -- Court Elizabeth Ann Seton No. 2131, will have their third annual fashion show and luncheon April 7 at St. Francis de Sales Parish, 1111 Michael Way. Reservations are due by Monday (255-3919).

ROBOTICS COMPETITION

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering will host the third annual FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center, Tropicana Avenue and Swenson Street. The event is free and open to the public (895-0893).

EGG DECORATING

Zoria Zetaruk will teach the art of decorating eggs according to the ancient Ukranian folk tradition, using beeswax and dyes on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Aliante Library, 2400 W. Deer Springs Way (839-2980).
