Del Sol rides pitching to 3-1 triumph

Tutwiler throws three-hitter against Silverado

Cameron Tutwiler tossed a three-hitter, and the Del Sol baseball team scored two runs in the sixth inning to defeat visiting Silverado 3-1 on Wednesday.

A two-out throwing error by the Skyhawks in the sixth kept the inning alive and allowed Tyler Giunta to drive in the go-ahead run with a double. Tutwiler followed with an RBI single.

Stefan Norman went 2-for-3 to lead Silverado, and Kevin Rath took the loss despite throwing a four-hitter.

Coronado 7, Green Valley 1 -- At Coronado, Javy Perez tossed a two-hitter, striking out six, to lead the Cougars over the Gators.

Ben Morris went 3-for-4 with a double to lead Coronado's 14-hit attack, and teammate Cory Ginther had a two-run double to spark a five-run fifth inning.

Bishop Gorman 14, Rocky Mountain (Colo.) 2 -- At Scottsdale, Ariz., John Rickard was 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs to lead the Gaels in the Cleats National Invitational.

Neil Lawhorn was 3-for-3 with a run and three RBIs, and Jeff Malm allowed two unearned runs in four innings with six strikeouts to get the victory.

Arbor View 11, Shadow Ridge 0 -- At Arbor View, the Aggies scored 11 times in the first inning and beat the Mustangs in five innings.

Michael Blazek fired a two-hitter. He also doubled, drove in three runs and scored a run.

Foothill 15, Vo-Tech 0 -- At Foothill, Jordan Stewart went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs and Kevin Wibiral was 2-for-2 with a triple and three RBIs as the Falcons blasted the Roadrunners.

Durango 10, Mazama (Ore.) 7-- At Durango, Justin Loya went 2-for-2 with a triple, two RBIs and three runs to lead the Trailblazers.

Brad Johnson was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Durango.

Palo Verde 15, Cheyenne 1 -- At Cheyenne, Matt Cooper allowed one earned run on seven hits to help the Panthers to a six-inning win.

Drew Ludwig was 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and a run for Palo Verde.

Spring Valley 15, Falcon (Colo.) 1 -- At Spring Valley, Ryne Milner went 2-for-3 with a triple and five RBIs for the Grizzlies.

David Carroll pitched a five-inning three-hitter for Spring Valley, which scored nine runs in the fourth inning.

Basic 6, Liberty 0 -- At Basic, Darren Parke had two RBIs and Brandon Blake and Mike Feher each had two hits as the Wolves blanked the Patriots.

Basic's Brett Wellman pitched a three-hitter.
