The US Airways employee who accidentally tweeted a pornographic photo from the company’s official Twitter account will not lose his job over the mistake.
US Airways investigated the situation and found the picture was accidentally posted after it was first tweeted at the account from a different user.
“It was done as part of the process to capture the tweet to flag it as inappropriate,” US Airways spokesman Matt Miller told Mashable. “Unfortunately, the link to the image was inadvertently included in a response to a customer.”
The lewd tweet stayed on the US Airways account for nearly half an hour before it was removed. The company hasn’t tweeted since it posted the following apology:
“We apologize for an inappropriate image recently shared as a link in one of our responses. We’ve removed the tweet and are investigating.”
