Las Vegas Philharmonic

It’s time to look back — and look forward — with the Las Vegas Philharmonic this weekend. At 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, music director Donato Cabrera and the orchestra will fill The Smith Center’s Reynolds Hall with “Gershwin: Music of the Jazz Age,” featuring “Rhapsody in Blue” along with works by Stravinsky, Milhaud, Bernstein and Weill. As a bonus, at 6 p.m. Saturday, Cabrera will join Philharmonic president Jeri Crawford and musical guests to unveil the 2016-17 concert season. ‘Soul of Klezmer’

From a search for identity to struggles with addiction to multiple stages of a romantic relationship, the College of Southern Nevada’s annual Student Dance Concert explores emotion through motion. ‘2 Across’
