Classes on hops coming to Nevada

Interested in learning how to select, grow and brew hops?

The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Herds and Harvest Program is offering a hops class on Tuesday in Reno, Wednesday in Elko and on Friday in Las Vegas.

The workshop, “Hops: The Art of Fermentation,” will cover hops selection, growing specifications, budgets and brewing.

The three workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and cost $35 for course materials and lunch.

The Reno class will be at the Washoe County Cooperative Extension office, 4955 Energy Way. Register online at https://renohopsworkshop.eventbrite.com.

The Elko class will be at the Elko Convention Center, 700 Moren Way. Register online at https://elkohopsworkshop.eventbrite.com.
