This week’s 5 best bets for dining in Las Vegas

Date night

Jenny from the Block — a block in the Bronx, that is — will be back for a limited engagement beginning Sunday at the Axis at Planet Hollywood, and to celebrate, the resort’s Strip House is offering a pre-show special. The Bronx Cut is a 12-ounce bone-in filet from The Hunts Point Meat Market in the Bronx. Cooked “black-rock style,” at a high temperature that seals in the juices, it’s $60. Call 702-737-5200.

Something new

Ten years may seem like old news instead of new, but as it celebrates its 10th anniversary, Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace announces the opening of the new quick-service Brioche, also at Caesars. It serves various sweet and savory brioches, as well as pressed sandwiches and coffees. Restaurant Guy Savoy also is celebrating its anniversary with a special $300 five-course menu, available through May 31.

Family fun

Ten years ago we would’ve thought green burgers were a bad thing, but times have changed. Burger Lounge, a Southern California-based fast-casual restaurant that serves non-GMO ingredients, grass-fed beef, organic cheeses and house-made dressings, has opened at Aria at CityCenter. It’s off the casino, near the poker room; hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

Solo trip

It’s National Burger Month, but nobody said burgers have to be beef. B&B Burger & Beer at The Venetian is celebrating with the Elk Burger, which is 6 ounces of elk on a potato bun with almond brown butter, asiago cheese, pickled cherry chutney and arugula. And those in the know also can opt for the off-the-menu Molto Burger, which is made with the same beef used for steaks at sister restaurant Carnevino.

For friends

If you take a team approach, you and your friends can sample the wares of up to 80 local restaurants in one evening. The event is the annual Epicurean Affair, 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday on the pool deck at the Palazzo. It’s sponsored by the Nevada Restaurant Association, and proceeds will go toward the association’s educational and scholarship programs. Tickets, which are $115, or $165 for early admission at 6 p.m., are available at www.palazzo.com or any Palazzo or Venetian box office.
