This week’s 5 best bets for dining in Las Vegas

Therapy

It’s a caper movie. No, it’s a lobster salad. And it was created to celebrate the first anniversary of Therapy at 518 E. Fremont St. The Oceans Eleven Lobster Salad is one of several dishes and cocktails Therapy staff dreamed up to mark the anniversary, the latter including Fly Me to the Moon and a Mango Rickey. Call 702-912-1622 or visit www.therapylv.com.

Tail & Fin

A new sushi burrito spot has opened to represent this growing but still underrepresented niche in Las Vegas. Tail & Fin, billed as a quick-service restaurant with “massive sushi rolls with flavors … from around the world,” has a menu created by Nobu alum Karu Wedhas. It’s at 9845 S. Maryland Parkway; call 702-854-9908.

Food & Wine Festival

You can get a taste of SLS Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Food & Wine Festival Thursday through Sept. 18. Events include a whole-ox feast at Bazaar Meat from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday ($95) and brunch at Cleo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 18 ($50 for food only, $60 with bottomless beverages). Visit slsvegas.com/vegasfoodandwine.

Beer-pairing dinner

Craft beers from Pizza Port Brewing Co. and Speakeasy Ales and Lagers will be on tap during a special beer-pairing dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Slice of Vegas at the Shoppes at Mandalay Place. And in a definite upgrade from pizza, the four-course dinner, which will begin with passed appetizers, will have an entree of osso buco with saffron orzo and gremolata. It’s $45 plus tax and tip; email beerdinner@sliceofvegaspizza.com.

Pacific Island Festival

Get a taste of the islands at the Prince Jonah Kuhio Ho’olaule’a & Pacific Island Festival from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water St. Besides food, it’ll have dancing, folk art, merchandise vendors and children’s activities. Free admission.
