5 inexpensive music shows coming up in Las Vegas

The Gashers

The Gashers’ new album “In Trust We Bleed” is being issued this week on SquidHat Records. To celebrate the record’s release, the band is stopping by the Double Down Saloon on Friday for a gig with the Negative Nancys and Vicious Cycle Beer Studs. The show is free and starts at 10 p.m.

Bombay Heavy

Bombay Heavy, a band featuring drummer Rob Whited, a drum tech for The Killers and Death Cab for Cutie, is making its Las Vegas debut at the Bunkhouse Saloon on Saturday. The show is $5 and starts at 9 p.m.

Count’s 77

Count’s 77 has an album due out next week called “Soul Transfusion.” The act, led by Danny Koker of “Counting Cars” fame, is celebrating the record’s release at Count’s Vamp’d on Thursday. The venue is fitting, not just because it’s Koker’s club, but because that’s where the band formed. The show is free and starts at 9 p.m.

Cherry Poppin’ Daddies

The good thing about taking on a timeless style of music is that, regardless of the current trends, the music always sounds good. Such is the case with modern bastions of big band the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies. They play a free show Saturday at the Fremont Street Experience.

Together Pangea

Together Pangea is hopping in its Badillac and making its way to the Bunkhouse Saloon, where the Los Angeles band is set to share a bill Friday with the Quitters, Warblood and DJ Jacob Savage. Tickets are $10, and the show starts at 9 p.m.
