3 adults, 4 children escape house fire in North Las Vegas

Three adults and four children were displaced by a Thursday morning fire in North Las Vegas.

Twelve units from the North Las Vegas Fire Department responded about 7:45 a.m. to multiple calls reporting a house fire in the 3400 block of Dillon Avenue, near East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Pecos Road.

The occupants of the home had evacuated the residence when firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames showing from the structure, said North Las Vegas Fire Capt. Cedric Williams.

One of the adults was transported to the hospital in stable condition to rule out smoke inhalation.

Crews were able to knock down the flames in about 10 minutes.

There was no estimate of damages from the fire available Thursday morning, and crews were still investigating the cause of the fire.
