3 North Las Vegas officials promoted

North Las Vegas promoted three acting department heads to permanent posts Wednesday, finalizing appointees picked to lead the city’s finance, utilities and fire departments.

Acting Finance Director Darren Adair, Deputy Utilities Department Director Randy DeVaul and interim Fire Department Chief Jeff Lytle were each tapped to head their respective departments in the move announced by interim City Manager Qiong Liu.

Liu, who was named to replace outgoing City Manager Jeff Buchanan in May, remains the last executive city administrator without a permanent post.

“These three individuals have been an integral part of the many positive changes that we have made both organizationally and operationally,” Liu said in a statement.
