Bring your dog to the pool - one day only

The Black Mountain Aquatic Complex in Henderson will host the city’s annual Doggie Paddle & Play Day from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Sept. 14.

Admission is $10 a dog if registered in advance or $15 at the door if space is available.

Register online at www.cityofhenderson.com using activity code 436203 or at any recreation center or indoor pool. Human friends can attend for free but may not enter the water.

The pool, at 599 Greenway Road, has a zero-depth entry that allows dogs to get in and out of the pool as they please. Dogs are assigned a swim time based on weight.

Dogs that weigh 40 pounds or less will swim from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., dogs that weigh from 41 to 79 pounds will swim from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., and dogs that weight 80 pounds or more will swim from noon to 1:15 p.m.

Owners must bring proof of pet licensing and vaccinations and are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

For more information, call 702-267-5870 or visit the city website.

The pool was already closed for the season.
