FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Tre’Von Willis scored 21 points and Chace Stanback had a career-high 19 to lead UNLV to an 80-72 victory over Colorado State at Moby Arena.

Willis and Stanback combined to shoot 6-for-6 on free throws in the final minute to seal it for the Rebels, who improved to 15-4 and 3-2 in the Mountain West Conference.

Freshman guard Justin Hawkins came off the bench to score nine points to lift UNLV to a 38-33 halftime lead.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Freshman guard Justin Hawkins came off the bench to score nine points as UNLV took a 38-33 halftime lead over Colorado State at Moby Arena.

Oscar Bellfield scored eight points and Tre’Von Willis seven for the Rebels (14-4, 2-2 Mountain West Conference).

Hawkins converted a four-point play to put UNLV up 30-27 with 5:23 remaining. Hawkins made two free throws about a minute later, and Willis’ steal and layup pushed the Rebels’ lead to 34-27.
