A Las Vegas police officer was injured when the motorcycle he was riding was rear-ended by a drunken driver on the Strip early Thursday, authorities said.

The crash happened just after midnight when a sedan hit the motorcycle on Las Vegas Boulevard, near Harmon Avenue, police said.

The officer, who was not named, was taken to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
