2 wounded in shooting at apartment complex

A shooting at an apartment complex sent two people to the hospital late Thursday night, Las Vegas police said.

Police responded to a call at Santa Fe Apartments in the 3100 block of East Charleston Boulevard, just east of Lamb Boulevard, at 11:50 p.m., where they found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds.

The shooting evolved from an argument, police said.

It is still unclear exactly where in the apartment complex the shooting happened. Police said the call came from a person who ran to a nearby business to call 911.

The victims were taken to University Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No suspect is in custody.

Metro’s gang unit is investigating the incident.
