Coroner names victim fatally stabbed at Las Vegas hookah lounge


A man who was stabbed to death at a hookah lounge Saturday was identified as Frank Almenares.

The 49-year-old from Las Vegas died from multiple stab wounds to his chest, according to the county coroner's office.

The incident happened about 4 a.m. at a lounge on the 6800 block of Spring Mountain Road, near Rainbow Boulevard, Las Vegas police said.

Investigators suspect Eddy Rodriguez, 36, stabbed Almenares for dancing with Rodriguez's ex-girlfriend.

Rodriguez is Hispanic, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 200 pounds.
