Las Vegas police say Tuesday shooter drove red sports car

Las Vegas police gave details Wednesday on a vehicle they said was linked to a deadly shooting the night before.

The shooter was a driving a red sports car, Metro said. The man who died late Tuesday was shot multiple times on a sidewalk in the 1000 block of North Decatur Boulevard near the intersection at West Washington Avenue.

He was dead when police arrived.

Homicide investigators say the man was walking along the sidewalk when the sports car pulled up next to him. The pedestrian and the driver were talking until the driver got out and fired multiple times.

The driver then got back in the car and drove away.

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the dead man’s identity.
