Man arrested in double shooting at mobile home park

Las Vegas police arrested a man in connection with a double shooting Tuesday morning in a mobile home park on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Gary “Money” Chambers, 45, was arrested near Lamb Boulevard and Owens Avenue about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday in connection with the 10:20 a.m. shooting that left one man dead and one woman injured in Van’s Trailer Oasis, in the 3600 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North near Walnut Road, according to police.

The 53-year-old woman was shot in her left hand and her roommate, Gary Bly, 29, was shot in the head. They were both transported to the hospital, where Bly died.

The woman said the man she knew as “Money” walked into her trailer holding a gun inside a holster and said, “You know what this is about. Give me your money.” He shot them both and left.

Chambers was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and faces charges of murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder with a deadly weapon and burglary with a deadly weapon.
