Man dies in Las Vegas of apparent gunshot wounds


A man’s body was found in the 700 block of West Mesquite Avenue early Saturday morning, according to Las Vegas police.

He had been shot multiple times, police said.

Police found the man lying on the sidewalk just before 4 a.m. Police have not identified any suspects, no arrests have been made and it was unknown what motivated the shooting.

The victim’s name and more specific manner of death will be released later by the Clark County coroner’as office.

This is the 52nd homicide in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
