Man dies from multiple gunshot wounds

A man died after being shot multiple times Monday morning, according to Las Vegas police.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 7100 block of Smoke Ranch Road near Tenaya Way about 8:30 a.m., according to police.

When police arrived, a man was laying on the ground suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to University Medical Center where he died.

Witnesses saw the man and his attacker arguing within the apartment complex just before the shooting.

The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall and 180 pounds with a tattoos on both arms and one tattoo that extends from his shoulder blades to the middle of his head. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and tan cargo shorts and is believed to have fled on foot.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office pending notification of next of kin.
