Police investigate shooting at Las Vegas apartment complex


Police are investigating a shooting in western Las Vegas on Tuesday morning that resulted in no injuries.  

Las Vegas police were called to an apartment complex on the 7400 block of Pirates Cove Road, near Buffalo and Westcliff drives, at about 6:30 a.m. after neighbors heard four to five shots fired.  

Watch Commander Les Lane said shell casings were found outside the apartment, but it appeared no one had been hit.  

"Whether (the suspect) was trying to shoot somebody, I don't know," he said.  

Police stopped a Chevrolet Impala as it left the scene and questioned its three occupants, but Lane said it wasn't clear if they were involved in the incident.
