Police look for getaway Cadillac used in Fremont Street shooting death

Las Vegas police were searching Saturday for a Cadillac used by three men to flee the scene of a deadly shooting Friday .

Police said another man suffered wounds to his abdomen after an exchange of gunfire between him and two men in a parking lot in the 2800 block of Fremont Street, south of Charleston Boulevard and east of Sahara Avenue, about 9:35 p.m.

The victim, who was not identified by police Saturday, later died at University Medical Center’s trauma center.

The getaway car was described as a mid- to late 1980s baby blue four-door Cadillac with a white landau top, tinted windows and unknown Nevada license plates. It was driven by a third man. The car might have signs of bullet strikes, police said.

Police could describe only one of the suspects: a black male adult, about 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, wearing a dark jacket and pants and carrying a handgun .

Anyone with information on the killing can call 702-828-3521, or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
