Police seek man in hookah lounge shooting

Las Vegas police asked for the public’s help on Thursday in finding a man involved in a fatal Sunday shooting.

Police arrived at the parking lot of a hookah lounge near Flamingo Road and Jones Boulevard about 5:30 a.m. and found four people with gunshot wounds. All the victims were transported to University Medical Center, where one of them, Jean Claude Mombo, was later pronounced dead.

According to police, a group of people had a verbal altercation at a nearby lounge and shots were fired once the group was outside in the parking lot.

The man police are looking for is described as being in his 20s, from 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet tall and weighing between 180 to 220 pounds. He has short, black, curly hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black and gray checkered shirt, police said.
