Police seek possible real estate scheme victims

Las Vegas police are looking for potential victims of a real estate scheme.

According to police, George C. George offered to help people purchase a home or buy their existing home using his own funds, promising them he could finance their mortgage.

He told them he needed a down payment — once as much as $200,000 — and after he received it, would sever contact with the victims, according to police.

Police said that in some cases George threatened physical harm against the victims.

Anyone who has any information that may assist with identifying potential victims is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fraud Section at 702-828-3590 or CrimeStoppers at 385-5555 or on the internet at www.crimestoppersofnv.com
