Work crew inmate escapes near US 95 and Wyoming Avenue

An inmate on a Nevada Department of Forestry work crew escaped in the east Las Vegas Valley on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Department of Corrections.

Kerran Dade, 21, was working near the intersection of U.S. Highway 95 and Wyoming Avenue when she escaped about 2:45 p.m. The department said all Las Vegas Valley police agencies have been notified.

Dade was assigned to the Jean Conservation Camp for Women, which is about 32 miles south of the valley, to serve 12 to 48 months for an attempted home invasion. Dade was admitted to prison May 12, from Clark County, the department said.

Anyone with information on Dade's whereabouts was asked to call 911.
