Drive-by shooting victim is identified

The man shot and killed during a drive-by shooting Saturday night has been identified as 33-year-old Alejandro Ramirez-Vazquez.

The Las Vegas man was at a house on the 4100 block of Ripple River Avenue, near Carey Avenue and Lamb Boulevard, during the 10:34 p.m. shooting.

Las Vegas police said the victim and suspect were at the house when an argument broke out and the suspect was asked to leave. The suspect returned and fired several rounds into the house.

Ramirez-Vazquez was shot in the neck and died at University Medical Center. A second victim was shot in the shoulder and hospitalized.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man. The public is urged to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 385-5555.
