"Elvis" released from Vegas jail

Elvis impersonator Trent Carlini has been released from the Clark County Detention Center, records show.

A Las Vegas Hilton official said this morning that Carlini's tribute to Elvis Presley will return to the hotel's Shimmer Cabaret tonight.

Carlini, 48, was arrested late Wednesday on a bench warrant for failing to make child support payments. His show was canceled Wednesday and Thursday while he was behind bars, and ticket refunds were made.

Authorities said the warrant covered two months of $3,000 child support payments Carlini did not pay. Contact Jeff German at jgerman@reviewjournal.com or 702-380-8135 or read more courts coverage at lvlegalnews.com.
