On May 14, 2003, the FBI raided the Las Vegas-based Galardi family's strip clubs here and in San Diego as well as the offices of three San Diego City Council members as part of a two-year government corruption probe.
Four former Clark County commissioners have been charged in the case. Former commissioner Lance Malone was convicted in a San Diego federal trial in 2005; he will stand trial in Las Vegas later this year. Former commissioners Dario Herrera and Mary Kincaid-Chauncey were convicted in May 2006 and sentenced on Aug. 21, 2006. Garlardi and former commissioner Erin Kenney have pleaded guilty.
