1 dead after Las Vegas hookah lounge shooting

One man has died after Sunday morning’s shooting at a Las Vegas hookah lounge, according to the Clark County coroner’s office.

He is Jean Claude Mombo, the coroner’s office said Monday.

Mombo was hospitalized in critical condition after Las Vegas police responded to an emergency call about gunfire at the CEO Hookah Lounge at 5900 W. Flamingo Road, near South Jones Boulevard. Seven to 10 shots were reported to about 5:30 a.m.

Four were taken to nearby hospitals with gunshot wounds. Mombo died later that day.

Metro is still investigating this homicide and has not released details about who fired or what led to the shooting.
