Boy injured after being hit by school bus Monday

A boy was taken to the hospital after being hit by a school bus on his bike Monday afternoon.

According to North Las Vegas police, a 12-year-old boy was riding his bike on the sidewalk when he suddenly veered into the street and was hit by a Clark County School District bus.

He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to University Medical Center.

No one on the bus sustained injuries, said police, and the driver was not expected to be charged.
