Clark County coroner identifies stabbing victim

The man who died after a Sunday evening stabbing in the southeast valley was identified Tuesday by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Nigel Hewitt, 25, of Las Vegas, died of multiple stab wounds, the coroner said.

Hewitt died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center after police found him in the 2500 block of Karen Avenue, near Eastern and Sahara avenues.

Homicide detectives said three people were walking through the area just after 6 p.m. and got into an argument with Hewitt. The fight escalated and someone pulled out a knife, chased the man and stabbed him several times, police said.

Police are still looking for the three people involved in the stabbing.

One of the men is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. Police said he is bald and was last seen wearing a torn white tank top and blue jeans.

The other man is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 210 pounds. He has black spiky hair and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

The woman is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. She has long black hair and a tattoo under her left eye.
