Coroner identifies Las Vegas motorcyclist killed Thursday

The motorcyclist who died Thursday night following a collision with a car has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Miguel Romero, 22, of Las Vegas, died after he lost control of the 2003 Suzuki motorcycle he was driving on Eastern Avenue, near Oquendo Road, about 6:30 p.m. He crashed with a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze that was driven by Kristy Deleon, 34. Deleon’s car was turning into a shopping center, Las Vegas police said.

Romero was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he later died.

Speed is believed to be a contributing factor to the accident that is still being investigated, Las Vegas police said.
