Coroner identifies man who jumped from Circus Circus roof

The man who jumped to his death at Circus Circus Monday night has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

James Tyler Kreider, 26, of Placentia, Calif., was spotted by hotel security as he was about to jump, Las Vegas police said. They contacted police and tried to talk him out of jumping, but as officers arrived, he jumped to a rooftop deck below and died.

The coroner’s office ruled Kreider’s death a suicide.
