Coroner identifies North Las Vegas man found in street

The Clark County coroner on Sunday identified the man who died after an early-morning shooting on Saturday in North Las Vegas.

About 12:40 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 2700 block of Castle Street near North Commerce Street and West Carey Avenue.

Officers found Kenneth Boykin, 19, of North Las Vegas, in the street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the man dead on the scene.

The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived and no one is in custody. The shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence, police said.
