Coroner IDs bicyclist killed Saturday afternoon

The bicyclist who was killed Saturday in a Henderson hit-and-run crash was identified Sunday by the Clark County coroner’s office.
Mario Regalado, 43, of Las Vegas, was riding southbound on Eastern Avenue about 2 p.m., near Evansville Avenue, when he was hit by a car that was switching lanes.
Regalado was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver of a blue 1990s model of a Honda or Acura sedan with a Nevada license plate 871-LZH was speeding. The driver is described only as a man wearing a flat-brimmed baseball cap. Police said the car has a smashed windshield and damage to its hood. It was last seen on Eastern near Grand Hills Drive.
This was Henderson’s 12th traffic-related fatality this year.
