September 23, 2015 - 8:21 am
The man who fatally shot himself during a police barricade Monday morning has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office as Randolf Gary Neumayer.
Police received a call about a suicidal person about 9:45 a.m. and found Neumayer had locked himself in a house in the 600 block of Ribbon Grass Avenue. Homes in the area, near the intersection of Pyle Avenue and Bermuda Road, were evacuated as a precaution.
The barricade ended when Neumayer shot himself in the abdomen. His death was ruled a suicide, Clark County coroner's office staff said Wednesday.
