Halloween parade to close some downtown streets

10/31/12 -- An article that appeared Tuesday included incorrect times for today’s Las Vegas Halloween parade. Ogden Avenue between Fourth Street and Casino Center Boulevard will be closed from 3 p.m. today to 4 a.m. Thursday. The parade and “after-party” start at 7 p.m.

A Halloween parade and party will result in downtown street closures Wednesday, the city of Las Vegas announced.

At 3 p.m., Coolidge, Hoover and Gass avenues, between Third and Fourth streets, will be shut down for use as a staging area.

The parade will run on Fourth Street, between Hoover and Ogden avenues. Beginning at 7 p.m. Fourth Street will be closed from 4 to 11 p.m. The participants will disband west of Fourth Street on Ogden Avenue.

Ogden Avenue between Fourth Street and Casino Center Boulevard will also be closed from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. Nov. 1 for a parade after-party, scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
