Henderson fire causes $200,000 damage

An attic fire in a Henderson home on Friday displaced several adults and caused approximately $200,000 worth of damage, Clark County officials said.

Residents of the home, on Kava Kava Street near Burkholder Boulevard and Racetrack Road, noticed smoke coming from the attic vents and called 911 at 2:35 p.m.

Henderson Fire Department personnel extinguished the fire in 20 minutes.

There were no injuries, but the roof and the second floor of the home were severely damaged.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
