Interstate 15 near Moapa reopens after tanker fire
October 24, 2015 - 6:54 pm
A semi trailer tanker fire shut down Interstate 15 near Moapa Saturday night, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
A secondary vehicle fire and a crash near the area contributed to further travel delays, NHP spokesman trooper Loy Hixson said. No one was injured in either incident. The highway reopened about 10 p.m., officials said.
Fire crews were called to mile marker 105 about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Hixson said. A hazmat team was called to the scene.
