Man dies in single-vehicle crash

A 44-year-old Arizona man died about 8:30 a.m. Sunday when the sport utility vehicle he was driving crashed into a parked semi trailer in the 3400 block of Western Avenue, near Desert Inn Road, authorities said.

Las Vegas police said the man, from Ash Fork, Ariz., for an unknown reason lost control of a 2005 Nissan Xtera and crashed into the semi-trailer parked at a loading dock. The vehicle then slammed into the loading dock.

The man, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remained under investigation, police said.
