Man injured after being struck by vehicle on Boulder Highway

A man was injured after he was hit by a car in the east side of the Las Vegas Valley early Friday morning.

Las Vegas police said George Tomich was crossing Boulder Highway near Desert Inn Road outside of a marked crosswalk. He was struck by a Lincoln Navigator traveling south on Boulder Highway.

Tomich, 59, was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries, police said.

The accident remains under investigation.
