Newspaper delivery woman shot, wounded Wednesday morning
A woman delivering newspapers for the Las Vegas Review-Journal was shot near Alta Drive and Decatur Boulevard early Wednesday morning.
The woman was driving her car in the 4400 block of Hayes Place just before 4:30 a.m. when someone in a small, black 2-door vehicle with a loud muffler fired several shots at her, according to Metro Lt. David Gordon. She was hit twice.
The contract delivery woman drove herself to Las Vegas Fire Department Station No. 5, 1020 Hinson St., and she was taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
There was another adult female passenger in the vehicle who was not hit.
Police are looking for the shooter and their vehicle.
