Pedestrian hit by car critically injured

A woman is in critical condition at University Medical Center after being struck by a car Tuesday afternoon.

She was struck by a Mitsubishi Galant heading west on Bonanza Road while crossing near the intersection of Eastern Avenue, according to Las Vegas police who responded to a call about 4:45 p.m. A witness said the woman, in her 30s, was not using the crosswalk.

Officer Marcus Martin said the driver stayed at the scene of the crash.
