A pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run Thursday morning while crossing Charleston Boulevard at Las Vegas Boulevard, police said.
According to Las Vegas police, the woman was crossing Charleston Boulevard in a marked crosswalk around 6:35 a.m. when a black compact car traveling westbound hit her.
She was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition and is expected to survive.
The intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard, which was closed due to the accident investigation, was reopened at approximately 8:40 a.m.
There is no description of the suspect or vehicle yet. The accident remains under investigation by police.
