Traffic moving slowly along I-15 as EDC festival ends

As thousands leave the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Monday morning after the Electric Daisy Carnival’s three-day fest, traffic on Interstate 15 is backed up.

Traffic monitoring sites show vehicles moving slowly southbound from the speedway. The right lane on southbound I-15 near Washington Avenue is blocked, possibly due to an accident.

About 140,000 people attended each of the at least two days of the three-day festival, according to Insomniac Productions, the organizers.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
