The man accused of aiding a suspect who is charged in the fatal shooting a 9-year-old North Las Vegas girl in June pleaded not guilty in District Court Thursday.
Marcus Larry, 27, is charged with multiple felonies, including murder with a deadly weapon, in connection with the June 12 slaying of Savannah Bullins.
Savannah was in her father's apartment near Cheyenne Avenue and Interstate 15, when Kenneth Reid, 21, was alleged to have fired a 9 mm gun multiple times into the apartment.
Investigators said the bullets were meant for the victim's father, Wilbert Bullins.
Authorities said Reid and Larry were in a dispute with Wilbert Bullins, who sold marijuana.
Larry is accused of helping Reid escape the scene.
Larry was released on house arrest. Reid, who is charged with multiple counts including murder with a deadly weapon, is in custody at the North Las Vegas Detention Center.
Reid and Larry are both felons with ties to local gangs. The multiple felony charges against them are tagged with gang enhancements that could increase their sentences if convicted.
Reid's arraignment was postponed to later this month.
