A 62-year-old California man who died after being struck while crossing a Laughlin road Saturday was identified Monday by the Clark County coroner's office as David Simpson.

Simpson was from Huntington Beach, Calif., the coroner's office said.

Las Vegas police said Simpson was walking with his wife on Casino Drive south of Bruce Woodbury Drive about 8:45 p.m. when he entered the right lane of southbound Casino Drive. Simpson was struck by a pickup driven by Jack Lebsock, 68, of Akron, Colo.
